Jenny has lived in East Vancouver since 2001 and during this time, has worked in education, community support, healthcare and now counselling over the last 25 years. About Me: My counselling practice, Liminal Space Counselling, was founded in 2019 and it has mirrored many of Ciel’s philosophy of community, social justice and accessibility. I graduated from Ciel in 2018 too! As for my therapeutic lens, I am trained in EMDR, Narrative Therapy and Somatic Experiencing (Year 2). Inspired by the mentorship she received as a student and which she continues to seek out as a perpetual learner, Ishtar enjoys inviting students into a feminist, anti-oppression, and relational supervision space. Since founding Ciel Community Counselling in 2017, Ishtar has dedicated her practice to supporting student counsellors so that anti-oppression, trauma-informed, queer-positive, low-cost counselling can thrive on the Drive.
